Application For 2019 Now Open

February 5, 2019 By Website Administrator Leave a Comment

We’re thrilled to announce that applications for the 2019 Pluralistic Rabbinical Seminary cohort are now open.

Applying for our smicha program is three steps.

First, students must take a Hebrew placement exam. Do not be intimidated by this. It is not a pass/fail. This is a tool that will help us help students be prepared to enter PRS if they have additional needs. The exam tests a few core areas of Hebrew knowledge: classical Hebrew vocabulary, the ability to find and translate a shoresh, basic Hebrew verb form knowledge as well as text skills with the Tanakh.

Once students have taken the placement exam, they can register for an application by creating a username and password, as well as paying the $250.00 fee for the application. Once paid, the application link is emailed to to prospective student. The prospective student will also have a portal on our website to apply which they can log into at any time.

Students applying for our program will also need letters of recommendation which can be emailed to the email address provided.

Applications may take six weeks to process, so please do not be discouraged if you do not hear immediately back from our administrative team.

We’re thrilled to have you in our program!
