Some students needs more than two years to complete their smicha program. Furthermore, many students like the opportunity to begin learning on their own without the responsibility of keeping up with a cohort.
For those students, we have designed our Rolling Admissions program, catering to students who have been accepted into our rabbinical training program, but would like the opportunity to pace their learning in a way that provides them the most success.
Students who choose Rolling Admissions use their time to take electives, improve their Hebrew skills, get to know PRS educators and administrators, and get a feel for what it means to be a student. This is also a great way for students to do a large amount of coursework in advance of joining a cohort, allowing those students to focus more on cohort work than their peers.
Rolling Admissions Process
- Apply for admission to our smicha program. You may apply and be accepted at any time. Please include your intent to be in Rolling Admissions in your application
- Once accepted, you will pay a $500 fee and begin learning
- When ready, please notify our Director before the start on an annual cohort, at which point you may register for that cohort (next cohort begins January 2023)
- If you enrolled before January 2022, your fee will be refunded to you. Due to changes in course fees, enrollments after 2022 will not be refunded
