Applying to PRS is very straight forward. Ensure that you have completed all of these steps:
- Apply for the program. Make sure to take your time filling out the application.
- Take the Hebrew Self-Assessment. This is a requirement before meeting with our director.
- Submit your letters of recommendation. Those can be sent via email to prs@jewishpluralism.org.
- Interview with our Director. From there, you will receive notice of whether this program is right for you, and next steps.
Please allow a few weeks for administration to reach out to you for an interview. Interviews take place via Zoom or similar. Admissions will work with you to choose the best way to conduct your interview.
We have three levels of Hebrew: beginner (taken as an introductory third year), intermediate, and advanced. Students self-select their level based on their self-assessment and a prior conversation with the Director. We accept students at all levels, with the understanding that we will help them achieve the level of skills they need from wherever they may be beginning skills-wise.
Students can begin taking electives and our innovation and synagogue engagement program as soon as their enrollment is complete.
