Program Overview
The Certificate in Jewish Innovation is a flexible, comprehensive pathway for students who want to lead innovation within the Jewish community, whether by launching new ventures or revitalizing existing organizations, including synagogues, JCCs, and Hillel. This program provides the skills, mentorship, and tools necessary to build a thriving Jewish future, both as an entrepreneur or an “intrapreneur” within established institutions.
Available only to PRS alumni or current PRS rabbinical students, this certificate is a great way to bring your amazing Jewish ideas to life.

Requirements of This Certificate
The certificate is available to students who complete six credits within any of the following areas
- Jewish Innovation Unbound or Jewish Innovation Unbound Havrutah – one credit
- Business Model Canvas or Business Model Canvas Havrutah – one credit
- Clergy Entrepreneur Series or Clergy Entrepreneur Series Havrutah – one credit
- Synagogue Engagement Series – up to eight credits
- Non-Profit Ready – one credit
Students will complete a final credit of one-on-one mentorship with Director of Innovation, Rabbi Patrick Beaulier, developing their project and launch over the course of six months.
