About This Course
This course earns 1 elective credit
This practicum gives you the opportunity to receive credit for leading High Holiday services while enrolled at PRS.
To earn 1 elective credit, you must lead either a full Rosh Hashanah service or a full Yom Kippur service.
Requirements
To receive credit, complete all of the following:
1. Lead a High Holiday service while enrolled at PRS
The services must be led during your time as a PRS student. Credit cannot be awarded for services led before enrollment at PRS.
2. Obtain written verification from a supervising rabbi or community leader
Ask your supervising rabbi or other community leader to complete the brit limmud verifying your service leadership.
The brit limmud includes:
- The supervising rabbi or leader’s name
- The congregation or chavurah’s name
- The name of the services you led (Kol Nidre, Torah Service, Musaf, Neilah, etc.)
- The machzor used
