Mindful Judaism: A Contemplative Approach to Jewish Practice

July 15, 2022

Course Description

This course on “Mindful Judaism” is designed to help you develop and nourish a personal and meaningful relationship with yourself, others, and the Sacred or Divine. Mindfulness is the practice of noticing and experiencing the Sacred, Ineffable, or Divine in all places and experience, no matter how strange, unexpected, or unwelcome. Topics include an introduction and overview of Mindful Judaism and contemplative practice, mindful Jewish practices you can use by yourself and with loved ones and your Jewish community, and 6 practice discussion sessions with the instructor to apply what you learn in your day-to-day life beginning “now”. Experiencing Just-What-Is can be challenging yet mysterious and inspiring. The true gift of mindfulness is not an escape from life but realizing that true respite comes from acknowledging and accepting life as it is and yourself as you are. Mindfulness practice is knowing that you are never alone!

Opportunities for ongoing practice discussion will be provided upon completion of the course. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
