The Magnificent Megillot

August 20, 2021

About this course

This five-unit course is designed to offer students an overview of the content, structure, and characters in each of the Megilloth that we read during the year. What is the connection between each Megillah and its corresponding holiday? Are the stories real? What does the Midrash have to add to the traditional text? What is this literary genre’s ultimate purpose?

Explore these and other questions with Dr. Wasser through our video presentations and interactive worksheets.

This course is .5 credits towards smicha

Great entry into the PRS program

I appreciated Rav Wasser had all of his notes ready for download. This made it easier to follow along while listening. As my first official PRS class, I found this class to be readily accessible and low stress. AND I learned a lot about the megillot!
