Reduce the cost of your rabbinical education while applying the knowledge and skills you gain at PRS through our Rabbinic Apprenticeship opportunity.
In partnership with OneShul.org, a live streaming synagogue and Jewish community, PRS students can lower the cost of their program by as much as twenty percent (20%) per month by leading religious services and classes.
Why should you consider the PRS Rabbinic Apprenticeship?
Besides lowering the cost of rabbinical education, PRS Rabbinic Apprenticeship participants are able to:
Gain practical ritual and educational leadership experience
Learn outreach and engagement online
Build their resume
What is involved?
PRS Rabbinic Apprenticeship participants will be trained by OneShul.org leadership in the technology/software of live streaming
Participants will be required to lead a minimum one-hour class and religious service in the weekday and/or Shabbat evenings twice per month. Students will be allowed to choose, under the supervision and administration of OneShul.org, times that work best for their schedule
Participants will be given a ninety (90) day probationary period within which their live streaming classes and services will be closely reviewed. Once a participant has reached the ninety day period and are given a satisfactory rating by OneShul.org administration, participants will be able to continue their Rabbinic Apprenticeship through the rest of their time at PRS.
First, students must formally apply and be accepted into the PRS rabbinical program.
Students can then apply separately for the Rabbinic Apprenticeship. A determination email is sent following their application for the apprenticeship and a reduction of their monthly payments will be noted in their payment plan.
